Wie was Mohammed? Wat dreef hem? In deze vlot geschreven biografie beschrijft Marcel Hulspas de carrière van de de Profeet Mohammed. Hoe hij uitgroeide van een eenvoudige lokale ‘waarschuwer’ die de Mekkanen opriep om terug te keren tot het ware geloof, tot een man die zichzelf beschouwde als de nieuwste door God gezonden profeet, vergelijkbaar met Mozes, Jesaja en Jezus.

Mohammed moest Mekka verlaten maar slaagde erin een machtige stammencoalitie bijeen te brengen die, geïnspireerd door het geloof in de ene God (en zijn Profeet) westelijk Arabië veroverde. En na zijn dood stroomden de Arabische legers oost- en noordwaarts, en schiepen een nieuw wereldrijk.

Brian Godawa, a screenwriter whose Christian films have repeatedly failed to be profitable at the box office, wrote that Noah‘s script “is deeply anti-Biblical in its moral vision.”

“Noah is a kind of rural shaman and vegan hippie-like gatherer of herbs. Noah explains that his family tries to study and heal the world whenever possible, like a kind of environmentalist scientist,” Godawa writes.

These officials, one of whom claimed to be an eyewitness, said that three Swedish emergency managers in the delegation were rattled when the gun’s laser tracked across one of their heads before Hauer found the map of New York, at which he wanted to point.

Hauer, commissioner of the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, was disabled by a stroke a few years ago and can be unsteady. He isn’t a law enforcement official. He carries the loaded 9-millimeter Glock in a holster into state buildings, an apparent violation of state law barring state employees from bringing weapons to the workplace, several witnesses say.

During my lotus birth, a lovely six-day period of bonding and closeness was established with my baby, and we washed and wrapped the placenta everyday to keep it clean and placed it in a waterproof pouch. […]

Shortly after the birth, the cord dried quickly into the texture of an electric cable. During the nights we slept with the baby on the bed and the placenta was placed next to the bed. Transporting the placenta with baby around the house was made convenient by using a stretchy wrap, which had a pocket in the front to hold the placenta. […]

Due to the damp environment where we lived and because we also chose to wrap plastic around the cloth, the placenta did not dry out as well as it should have and did leave a musty smell for the last few days. […]

Despite the minor inconvenience of learning to maneuver around the cord for six days and dealing with the cleaning of the placenta, I feel the potential benefits of lotus birthing far outweigh any cons.

De BVD zette tot tweemaal toe personeel en financiële middelen in voor een concurrerende communistische partij. BVD-agenten hielpen actief mee met geld inzamelen voor de verkiezingscampagne. De regering liet deze operaties oogluikend toe. Het parlement wist van niets.
