Wat iedereen al wist wordt in dit tragikomische filmpje bevestigd: The Sunday Times hanteerde zo goed als geen journalistieke standaarden toen ze met hun recente verhaal over Snowden kwamen.

In een interview met CNN voelt een van de verslaggevers zich totaal niet geroepen om achter de inhoud van zijn verhaal of de betrouwbaarheid van zijn bronnen te staan:

We just publish what we believe to be the position of the British government at the moment.

VS op het punt zware wapens naar Oost-Europa te sturen

In a significant move to deter possible Russian aggression in Europe, the Pentagon is poised to store battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other heavy weapons for as many as 5,000 American troops in several Baltic and Eastern European countries, American and allied officials say.

As the proposal stands now, a company’s worth of equipment — enough for about 150 soldiers — would be stored in each of the three Baltic nations: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
