Boris Johnson nam gisteren een biografie van Margaret Thatcher door Charles Moore in ontvangst. Hij nam de gelegenheid te baat om Thatcher te profileren als duurzame feminist, dit in tegenstelling tot de demonstranten van Exctionction Rebellion, die hij ook nog ‘uncooperative crusties’ noemde.

Tja, als je niets hebt om de message mee te weerleggen, val je toch gewoon de messengers aan? Verder kat in het nauw. Boris heeft al problemen genoeg met de ene na de andere Brexit-proefballon van hem die wordt afgeschoten en verwikkelingen rond zijn campagnefinanciering. Dan kan ie niet ook nog serieus bezig zijn met het klimaat.
@1 Hij hoefde het er niet over te hebben. Hij had ook bij wat aardige woorden over Thatcher en haar biograaf kunnen laten. Maar hij wilde er iets over kwijt en dat was dit. Het heeft niks met andere dingen aan zijn hoofd te maken, het is pure boosaardigheid om de achterban te gerieven.
