Het codicil van Saddam

Voordat Saddam deze wereld verlaat heeft hij nog een paar persoonlijke laatste(?) wensen:

• “The coffee can buried in the back yard of Palace 43, five steps to the southeast of the barbecue patio, contains a key. It is, of course, for my roller skates and not for a Swiss bank account…”
• “As a reminder of how much I’ve always loved airplanes, it is my farewell-to-this-life plea that the Gulfstream IV.. ..be fuelled, started up, and left indefinitely with engines running and stair ramp down”.
• “It is my fond wish as I take leave of this life forever that the two-ton iron cannister marked “BUG SPRAY, DO NOT BREATHE,” found in the back of the gardening shed at Palace 38, be rolled out of hiding and taken to any really high rooftop in Baghdad…”
