Hoe om te gaan met illegalen?

Er is in de VS veel te doen over illegale migranten de laatste tijd. Een mooie gelegenheid voor racisten om dit stevig op de spits te drijven.
Hiernaast ziet u een snapshot uit een flash game. Daarin moet u zoveel mogelijk illegale Mexicanen doodschieten voordat ze de grens over zijn. Let ook op de joden-ster in de Amerikaanse vlag.
Dan lijkt het in NL toch wel mee te vallen met het sentiment. Of weet u voorbeelden van equivalente spelletjes hier ten lande?

Een paar jaar geleden was er een NOVA-uitzending over de ondergrondse verspreiding van nazi-spelletjes in Europa. Daar zaten er bij die een stuk gevanceerder dan dit waren. Ik kan me nog een herinneren die wel een min of meer gelijke strekking had: KZ-bewaker spelen. Moest je ontsnappende joden opsporen mbv. een duitse herder.

Dit is wat Neil Cavuto van FoxNews over de staking van illegalen vindt:

Maar natuurlijk kunnen de immigranten daar zelf niets aan doen. Bill O’Reilly van hetzelfde FoxNews legt uit hoe ze het slachtoffer zijn geworden van links-extremistische pressiegroepen die beloven dat de dag van een Hispanic take-over nabij is:

“Over and over, the leaders of the immigration protests I have talked to on this show and on the radio have been self-described socialists, or key figures in groups like ANSWER, a leftist anti-war group.

Many of the so-called organizers of the big “Day Without Immigrants” protest have a long string of quotes on their record in which they promise the day of a Hispanic takeover of this country is coming, or telling “old, white people” to get out of the way.

So immigrant rights were being kidnapped by a group of anti-Republican, anti-conservative ultra liberals or, as I said, self-described socialists.”

@SN: op zich zegt hij het wel goed: “I have talked to”. Want de mensen in zijn show krijgen meestal geen kans op weerwoord.

Dear President Bush:
I’m about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I’m going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.

I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same understanding way you do here and want to avoid any hassle from Mexican border guards.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I’m on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won’t make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English. Emphasize also that the police should never do any “Gringo-profiling” in trying to enforce their laws.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don’t enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely; however, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with Dick.

Dit vond ik zo ergens op een forum rondhangen, om aan te geven hoe het sentiment bij een bepaalde groep mensen is in de VS. Ik denk dat het maar 1 van de vele voorbeelden is van de polarisatie daar. Je proeft uit JdB’s quote dat het daar iemand uit dezelfde groep gaat, die links en liberaal (voor hun synoniem, ik snap het niet) scheldwoorden vinden.

@Bismarck: in de politiek van de VS gaat het om de conservatieven enerzijds en de liberalen anderzijds. Liberaal is daar vooral levensbeschouwelijk liberaal (dus pro-homo rechten, pro-choice abortus, etc.). Daarmee is liberaal eigenlijk een synoniem voor links geworden. Een liberale partij als de VVD die zowel economisch als levensbeschouwelijk liberaal is, kennen ze niet. Overigens zullen de meeste Republikeinen de VVD als een gematigd linkse partij beschouwen op economisch gebied en een extreem linkse partij op levensbeschouwelijk gebied.

Helaas wordt Fox News door veel Amerikanen als de meest betrouwbare nieuwsbron gezien die er is. Althans, dat beweert Bill O’Reilly:
