Ah, denken wij, wordt het evangelie hier verspreid? Dan komt echter de adder uit de bijbelse mouw:

Ah, een 419 variantje. Ik hoorde vandaag de variant dat de eerste Afrikaanse astronaut al jaren vast zit op een geheim russisch ruimtestation. Of ze jouw rekening even mogen gebruiken om miljoenen door te sluizen naar de Russische ruimtevaartorganisatie om een shuttle te huren zodat de arme man, inmiddels compleet geatrofieerd, weer naar huis kan.

Ah, dus 419 betekent (2e site op Google van Spuyt’s zoekopdracht):

Mijn vader komt voor zijn werk wel eens in Nigeria en heeft daar aan enkele mensen zijn kaartje gegeven (normaal gang van zaken toch?). Daar staat ook een faxnummer op en je raadt het al: sindsdien krijgt hij ook 419-faxen! Woopie!
